Belinda Carlisle chased a solo career afterward sledding away the Go-Go's in 1984. As her solo life history progressed, Carlisle removed whatever of the rough edges odd in her stylus, transforming from a new wave rocker to a polished adult contemporaneous pour down singer. The change was observable on her first record album, 1986's Belinda. Featuring the sound number threesome hit single "Mad About You," the record went au and established her as a feasible hitmaker. The following year, Carlisle released Heaven on Earth, her greatest solo achiever. Carlisle returned to solo transcription in 1996 with A Woman and a Man, which failed to gain heaps attention. A myriad of collections and compilations followed, as intimately as another Go-Go's reunification. Carlisle released a new solo album, Voila, in 2007.

The Miami-based threesome the Committee is best known for their work behind the soundboard, producing multi-platinum artists like Trick Daddy and Trina. In 2001, the Collective linked forces with several Miami performers to form Iconz. The Committee, along with Luc Duc, Stage McCloud, Bull Dog, Chapter, Tony Manshino, Screwface, and Supastarr, released their debut Street Money. Like very much of the hip-hop advent out of Miami, their music is weighed down on booty-shaking beats just besides shows surprising lyrical skill.

Sophia Loren - Loren Wants A Ghostly Visit From Late Husband

SOPHIA LOREN is calling on her late husband, filmmaker CARLO PONTI, to visit her from beyond the grave.

The movie beauty, who plays a ghost in new film Nine, laments she has had no real life encounters with the spirit world.

Loren wishes she could enjoy an other-worldly experience with Ponti, who she was married to for more than 40 years until his death in 2007.

The 63-year-old says, "I wish to be able to experience these kind of things, you must believe in certain things. I don't even dream about my husband, and it's so sad for me. But I think, in life, he's always beside me."

Folk-punk singer/songwriter Elliott Smith rose from indie obscurity to mainstream success in 1997 on the strong point of "Miss Misery," his Academy Award-nominated song from the film Good Will Hunting. A native of Portland, OR, Smith began writing and recording his first songs at age 14, later decorous a fixture of the city's flourishing music aspect; as a member of the isthmus Heatmiser, he debuted in 1993 with the LP Dead Air, issue his first solo effort Roman Candle on the bantam Cavity Search label a year later on. For his 1995 self-titled album, Smith signed with the noted Kill Rock Stars label; Either/Or followed in 1997, around the same fourth dimension that filmmaker and longtime fan Gus Van Sant requested permission to usance the singer's music in his coming Good Will Hunting. Smith as well composed a fistful of modern songs for the soundtrack, among them "Overlook Misery," and when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced its Oscar nominations the following February, the track was a surprise entry in the Best Original Song category. Legs Diamond was an apart voiceless rock/heavy metallic element band from the belated '70s. Founding members Michael Diamond (bass) and Jeff Poole (drums) were earlier from the San Francisco area, just it wasn't until the couplet resettled to Los Angeles that they base the absent pieces to the mystifier -- vocalist Rick Sanford, guitar player Roger Romeo, and keyboard player/guitarist Mike Prince -- resulting in a recording foreshorten with Mercury. 1977 power saw a pair off of releases, a self-titled debut and A Diamond Is a Hard Rock, and although they supported both albums with sphere tours hatchway for such major rock acts as Styx, Ted Nugent, and Kiss, neither failed to ding the charts. In 1984, Sanford, Romeo, and Prince revived the mathematical group (with newcomers Dusty Watson on drums and Mike Christie on bass), issuance respective ignored albums -- 1984's Out on Bail, 1986's Country of the Gun, and 1990's Ithiel Town Bad Girl -- ahead splitting up once more than. But in 2001, Legs Diamond was revived once again for a new release, The Wish.

Cesar Chavez made his life all about fighting for workers' rights -- so the irony, his son Fernando is being sued for allegedly stiffing an employee.

Adriana Gonzalez-Correia alleges she worked for Fernando Chavez' at his Sacramento, CA law firm, but claims she got stiffed to the tune of around $70,000.

A call to Fernando's people has yet to be returned.
